Lees of Scotland turns 90!

This is a milestone year for Lees of Scotland as they proudly celebrate 90 years in business.

The business was founded in Coatbridge in 1931 by grocer’s son John J Lees and chief executive Clive Miquel now leads the way. The business has gone from strength to strength and overcome some challenges along the way. Not least carefully navigating its way through one of the biggest crises the manufacturing industry has ever seen. Lees of Scotland currently employs 250 people and operates out of a modern 80,000 sq ft factory in Coatbridge.

Clive Miquel, CEO said:

“It’s a wonderful milestone to reach. The success and longevity of the business is down to its innovative nature, and community. Scotland is famous for its food and drink and we are very proud to be a part of that.

“This year is a chance for us to express our appreciation to our loyal customers, business partners, friends, and colleagues for their continuous support. A time to reflect on the past and look toward the future.”

To mark the occasion Lees of Scotland have created a 90th Anniversary edition logo which will be appearing on various marketing materials and packaging throughout 2021.
