St Andrew’s Hospice invited 4,000 S1 pupils to walk the heights of Lanarkshire’s most prominent hill, Tinto.
This was a chance for pupils and staff to get some fresh air, exercise, and most importantly have fun, alongside raising vital funds for St Andrew’s Hospice.
St Andrew’s Hospice is local to the Lees of Scotland factory in Coatbridge and provides specialist palliative care to people living with life-limiting illnesses. The Hospice not only provides support for their patients, but also for their loved ones and carers too.
Lees of Scotland donated 1,200 Snowballs to the Hospice, who were then able to offer sweat treats to everyone that took part.
Through this activity, St Andrew’s Hospice raised in the region of £75,000, which will go a long way to helping those under the care of the Hospice.
