Last month, The Waverley Bakery ‘licked off’ a campaign in partnership with the Sunday Mail to find the nation’s favourite place to eat and enjoy ice-cream. Thousands of Sunday Mail readers placed their votes and shared stories about which ice-cream café or parlour they thought should be crowned the winner and receive The Waverley Bakery Golden Cone.

Voting closed 7 May and a shortlist of the top 12 shops was announced in the Sunday Mail newspaper Sunday 12 May.

11. Allan Water Café, Bridge of Allan
12. Jannetta’s Gelateria, St Andrews

It’s now over to a panel of judges to decide the winning ice-cream hot spot! Judges will include; Sunday Mail executive editor Jim Wilson, Real Radio presenter Cat Harvey, River City star Libby McArthur and one of the original members of The Waverley Bakery Anthony Zaccardelli.

The winner will be announced 26 May 2013 in the Sunday Mail.
